This is an industry first from O2. If you have a BT connected landline service, you can have the landline number transferred to your O2 mobile.

The landline service is terminated in your home or office and you stop paying BT. Callers to your landline number pay the rate to call the landline number not to call a mobile.

How Does Mobile Landline From O2 Work?

ALREADY AN O2 CUSTOMER? - If you are an existing O2 customer, you will pay an extra £10 per month for the landline number service and there is no charge for inbound calls. The caller’s number will be displayed on your phone provided it has not been withheld.

NOT AN O2 CUSTOMER YET? - If you connect a new O2 mobile and a landline number at the same time the landline number service is free.

HOW DOES THIS WORK? - You can have up to five different landline numbers connected to one mobile number. O2 can provision you with a landline number from different parts of the country if you do not have a BT service in the town or city that you want to use. You could have London, Bristol, Manchester, Cardiff and Glasgow telephone numbers all delivered to your mobile or up to 5 different local numbers to suggest a greater local presence in an area. When you have more than one landline number the landline number called will be displayed on your mobile and not the number of the caller.
What Can It Offer Me Or My Business?

DIFFERNT WAY OF WORKING - O2 can deliver the same landline number to up to 10 different mobiles. After the first mobile, there is a cost of £1 per additional mobile phone per month. This could be used for a sales team to take inbound calls, a retail operation spread over a large area such as a garden centre or an out of hours help line. The order in which the mobile phones ring can be prioritised or they can all ring as a group.

NON GEOGRAPHIC NUMBERS - O2 can also supply a 0800 number at a cost of £15 per month. Calls to this number are free and there is NO inbound call cost to the mobile either. Subject to connection charge which will be individually quoted.

MANAGE EFFECTIVELY - From access to the online reporting and management service, you can see all the traffic and manage your staff levels more accurately.
